Shirley Ann (Michelsen) Gabor

Shirley A. Gabor, 77, of Sylvania, OH passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a 6 year battle with cancer.  She was born to Willard and Gertrude (Cousino) in Wood County, OH.   Shirley married Paul on September 18, 1970 in Sylvania, OH. 

Shirley loved spending time with her family, friends and soon to be friends. She was passionate about gardening, dancing with Paul and being a dedicated member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania for 47 years.  Shirley truly enjoyed being a daycare teacher until her cancer diagnosis. She was looking forward to becoming a great grandma in the next few weeks. 

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Paul; daughter, Cindy (Scott) Casler: daughter-in-law, Denise Babcock; grandchildren, Katelyn Babcock, Emily (Alex) Hughes, Joshua Babcock and nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her sons, James and David Babcock. 

Family and friends may visit at the Reeb Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm, Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 10am until 12:30pm. The funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania at 1pm.  Interment will follow at Troy Township Cemetery in Luckey, OH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hickman Cancer Center at Flower Hospital or The Victory Center in Sylvania.
