Marilyn Dorothy (Kapp) Cather

Marilyn D. Cather, 85, a long-time Sylvania Township resident, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at the Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania.

Marilyn served as a Registered Nurse who practiced until she reached the age of 80. She was extremely dedicated to her patients and they fondly referred to her as “Sarge.” Marilyn began raising Bullmastiff Dogs in 1973, and was a life member of the Bullmastiff Association.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Jo Peters; sons Charles W. (Kathleen) and James C. (Kelly) Cather; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother William Kapp; and faithful K – 9 Companion Beez. Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles D. Cather.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sylvania, Tuesday, April 18th at 10 AM.

Marilyn was many things, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a great nurse who was totally dedicated to her patients, and a faithful loyal friend to many; she will be missed!
