Lura Corrine (Bayes) Jaeger

Lura Corrine (Bayes) Jaeger, age 88, of Toledo, Ohio entered into eternal life Saturday, April 16, 2016.  She was born May 17, 1927 to Emerson and Magdalene (Thebeau) Bayes in Toledo, Ohio.  She graduated from Sylvania Burnham High School.  Lura met the love of her life Bob and together were married for forty-four years.  Lura worked at Lampson’s for twelve years and stopped working there after the birth of her son, Matthew.  She had the important job of housewife and stay-at-home mom the remainder of her life.  She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved raising her children and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up to be wonderful people.   Lura was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild along with Lutheran Women’s Missionary League for many years.  She will be remembered for her contagious smile.

She is survived by her children, Corrine (Mark) Sattler, Andrea (Joseph) Gernheuser,  Janice (Craig) Breitner, daughter-in-law, Veronica, brother-in-laws, William, Richard, and Don, sister-in-laws, Barbara and  Genevieve; grandchildren, Falon (Chad), Michael (Amanda), Cole, Andrew, Ariel, Jonathan and Joey; great-grandchildren, Anika, Gianna, Wyatt, Vienna, and Noah.  Lura is predeceased by her son, Matthew; her husband, Robert, her parents, her sisters Elaine (Marc) and Ethel Mae and her brother Emerson “Bud” (Rose), brother-in-laws, Paul, Vic, Chuck and Nelson, sister-in-laws, Dorothy, Jane Ann, Mary and Helen.  Family and friends may call at Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 Main Street, Sylvania, Ohio on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.  The funeral service will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5845 Elmer Drive, Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00am.  Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions in Lura’s name may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.reeebfuneralhome.com
