John David Acker

John D. Acker, 82, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his Sylvania home, with his family by his side.

He was employed for more than 25 years in upper management in the chemical industry. John and his wife also owned and operated Bawood Air and Hydraulics in Fremont, OH, from 1990 – 2001. He was proud to have served with the United States Army during the Korean War.

John is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Jean (Endres) Acker; daughter Cindi (Dean) Acker Hein; son Daniel (Rica) Acker; and grandchildren Emma (Colin) Hein Celek, Livvy (Byant) Hein Bechtel, and August Acker, as well as many wonderful friends and neighbors.

Private services were conducted by the Reeb Funeral Home, where online condolences may be offered to Jean and her family.

Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to consider a donation to the Joseph W. Diehn Post 468 of the American Legion in lieu of flowers.
