Joann Alice (Jacobs) Wobser

Joann A. Wobser, 87, of Toledo passed away October 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at her home.  Joann was born to Fred and Josephine (Dressler) Jacobs on August 29, 1928 in Ottawa Lake, MI.

Joann was employed by the Martin-Perry Company, managed several Netterfield’s Fish & Chips in Toledo and was the office manager for Toledo Scale Employees Federal Credit Union, later retiring from the Directions Credit Union.  She was a long time member of Olivet Lutheran Church where she was an active member in the leisure league.  Joann was a dedicated volunteer with Lutheran Homes Society and Lutheran Social Services with her husband Jay.

Joann is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jay; her daughter, Sandi (Jim) Radde; son, Greg (Sue) Wobser; grandchildren, Kim (Art) Garza, Brian (Stacey) Radde and Greg Wobser II; great-grandchildren, Belle and Alivia Garza and Jacob Radde; and brothers, Vance and Lyle (Fay) Jacobs, also surviving many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by sisters, Janet and Jean, and brothers, Kenneth and Delbert.

Visitation will be Friday, October 9, 2015 from 3pm to 8pm at the Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania.  The funeral service will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11am at Olivet Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior.  Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

The family suggests tributes in the form of contributions to the Olivet Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
