James Walter Hubbell
April 2, 1934 ~ July 13, 2016 (age 82) 82 Years OldJames Walter Hubbell, 82, of Chesapeake, VA, formally of Ottawa Lake, MI passed away Wednesday July 13, 2016 at his home.
He was born April 2, 1934, in Toledo, OH, to Harvey and Mildred (Trumble) Hubbell.
James served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War.
James married his sweat heart Madeline M. Jones June 3, 1962 who passed away in 2015.
He worked as a carpenter for Scholtz Homes for over 25 years and then Jeep 15 years. In his retirement, James enjoyed wood working projects such as building decks and remodeling homes. He was also a History and Sci- Fi buff and loved flying his radio control planes. In his younger days, James was busy raising Quarter Horses.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Vicki Hawk; grandsons, Casey (Mary Katherine) and Dustin (Katie) Hawk; brother, Joseph (Terry) Hubbell; sister in law, Fran Hubbell. James was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Madeline and brothers, Garry, Robert, and Donald Hubbell.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH , Friday, July 22, from 11am to 2pm when the Funeral Service begins at 2pm. Entombment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to give a memorial are asked to consider The American Kidney Foundation.
