Anna Margaruitte Renshler, 100, of Sylvania, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Kingston Residence of Sylvania. She was born on December 23, 1917 in Upper Sandusky, OH to Jacob and Mary Ann (Bates) Karg. She married Earl Karl Renshler and together they raised 3 children.
Family members and friends, some traveling many miles, gathered to celebrate Anna’s 100th birthday, which she was very proud of accomplishing. She worked many years at Sears Roebuck (her favorite area of the store was the candy counter) and Starr Anton Cleaners in Toledo, Ohio. She loved playing pinochle and bingo at the Sylvania Senior Center and at Kingston. More than anything, Anna treasured being a grandma to her 7 grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Everett and Judy Rife; son, Kenneth (Margaret) Renshler; grandchildren, Tad (Donna) Everett, Teri Dress, Thomas C. (Janice) Everett, Eric Rife, Kevin (Megan) Renshler, Kara Renshler and Kristin (Matt) Vicelja; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings, son-in-laws, Thomas Everett and Charles Rife.
Visitation will be at the Reeb Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 10:30am until 11:30am when the funeral service will begin. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay, OH. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Kingston Residence of Sylvania for her care and the friendships she made along the way. We are also grateful for Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg for sharing in her care towards the end of her life. It took a team and we all worked together for her. She leaves us with memories we will cherish.
