Albert James Waganfeald

Albert J. Waganfeald , 74, of Sylvania Township, Ohio passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Flower Hospital.  He was born in Sylvania, OH to Thomas and Elsie (Black) Waganfeald.  Albert married Janet Poley in 1965 and together they raised 3 children.

Albert graduated from Sylvania High and worked for General Motors in various positions for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. He volunteered for the Sylvania Fire Department for many years, was a member of the Alliance for Retired Americans and the director of UA Local 14 CAP.

Albert loved vacationing with Janet, spending time with family and friends and adored his pets. He enjoyed coaching, music, especially playing the piano, volunteering and talking politics. He was a member of the Compelled Church and was true to his faith.

Albert is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Patricia (Eric) Osborn, Dawn (Chris) Moore and Dallas (Tina) Waganfeald; grandchildren, Andrew (Emily), Steven, Brandon and Kayla Osborn, Chris and Marissa Moore and Katie, Austin, Cordell, Cameron, and Colton Waganfeald; sister, Elsie Jackson; brother, Thomas Waganfeald and special friends, Michael and Shelly Mercurio, Daniel Nabinger  and Tim and Terri Brand. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jack and David Waganfeald.

Family and friends may visit at the Reeb Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 3pm until 7pm where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11am with a showing at 10am.  Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
